EDMONTON PROPERTY VALUES

Questions, bug reports, refunds, anything at all: [email protected]

Edmonton Property Values shows the City of Edmonton's official property assessments on a map, alongside building permits, development applications, new business licences, road construction, and the city's capital projects — for Edmonton and Strathcona County.

The assessed value doesn't match what I think my home is worth

The app shows the city's assessed value — the figure prepared for property taxation, based on a July 1 valuation date. It is not a market estimate, an appraisal, or a listing price, and it will often differ from all three. Assessment questions and appeals go to the City of Edmonton, not to us.

A permit or value looks wrong or is missing

Everything in the app is open data published by the City of Edmonton and Strathcona County — we sync it regularly but never edit it. Records can be filed late, corrected, or published without coordinates (in which case they appear in search and lists, but not as a map pin). Corrections have to be made at the source; the app picks them up on the next sync. If something looks broken rather than merely late, email us.

I'm not getting notifications for a watched area

Check that notifications are enabled for the app in iOS Settings, then open the Account tab — every watched area is listed there with a pause switch. Alerts only fire on newly filed records that match the area's rules, so a quiet week is normal in a quiet neighbourhood.

Do I need an account?

No. The map, filters, layers and the lot sheet you get by tapping any property all work without one. A free account (Sign in with Apple — there is no password to create) is asked for in exactly two places: address searches past the third, and property reports.

Property Values Pro

Pro lifts the free plan's three-property-reports-per-week limit. It's billed by Apple; manage or cancel it in your App Store subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com, but email us too and we'll help.

Deleting your account and data

Account tab → Delete account. It removes the account and everything tied to it on our server.
